Truck hands out meat-free meals to mark end of Boris Johnson

Just hours before the Prime Minister is set to leave office, a Quorn food truck has driven past parliament and 10 Downing Street with text mocking the departing leader for telling too many “porkies”. Poking fun at Johnson’s reputation for fibbing, the text on the meat-free food brand’s truck read “No More Porkies” and was serving up pork-free ham sandwiches to passers-by.

Accused of misleading Parliament and the House of Commons, Johnson resigned from office on July 7 and will be departing number 10 today following the result of the new leadership vote. To celebrate the end of his “porkies” Quorn’s pork-free sandwich truck toured Whitehall, Parliament Square and Westminster Bridge.

Londoners were handed delicious, meat-free sandwiches free of charge, filled with Quorn’s new deli slices: Yorkshire Ham style Slices and Finely Sliced Ham Style slices.

Those who want to celebrate the end of porkies at home can find the new Deli slices in the chilled aisles across Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose, and selected Co-op stores in September RRP £3.
