Tell us: what is your experience with fertility treatment as a Black person in the US?

What aspects of infertility in the Black community would you like to know about?

This week the Guardian US’s race and equity team is publishing its first series exploring Black people’s experience with fertility treatment in the US.

For centuries there has been a harmful stereotype that Black women produce children more easily than their white counterparts. That belief – and that infertility is only an issue for white people – is still held today. However, Black women are twice as likely as white women to experience infertility, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

If you are a Black person in the US who has experienced fertility issues, we would like to hear your story and know what other aspects of infertility in the Black community you would like to know about. If we plan to feature your story, we will get in touch with you first.
