Communities in the central U.S. are reeling from the aftermath of deadly tornadoes that tore through parts of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Arkansas. The storms, which struck on Thursday night, left a trail of destruction in their wake, claiming three lives in Ohio's Logan County and injuring around 40 people in Indiana. Reports of tornadoes also emerged from Illinois and Missouri.

One resident, recalling the harrowing experience, described the scene as reminiscent of a movie, with homes destroyed and properties leveled. Despite the devastation, there were stories of resilience and survival. A father, following his instinct, sought shelter in a closet as the tornado approached, a precaution he had instilled in his children from a young age.
