Noah Cyrus breaks her silence after coming under fire for liking Liam Hemsworth post

Noah Cyrus has responded to backlash after she liked a gym selfie posted by her sister Miley's ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth on Instagram.

The 24-year-old singer took to her Instagram Story on Monday to make light of the furore online, writing that it was “funny”.

According to JustJared, the Lonely hitmaker wrote in a now deleted Instagram Story: “There’s no greater joy than seeing y’all get s0000000 angry over the dumbest s*** it’s so entertaining and funny.”

Cyrus has liked her former brother-in-law’s workout selfie, which he captioned “#Legday.”

Noah has since unliked the post. Hemsworth follows Noah on Instagram, along with Tish and her former husband Billy Ray Cyrus, but not his ex-wife Miley.

Cyrus began dating Hemsworth while filming The Last Song in 2010. This marked the beginning of a decade-long relationship that saw the couple together, then apart, before eventually getting married in 2018.

However, their union was short-lived as they announced their separation the following year, finalising their divorce in 2020.

Since then, Miley has moved on and has been romantically involved with Lilly drummer Maxx Morando since 2021.

Noah’s social media interaction sparked further speculation about the Cyrus family dynamics, months after Tish’s wedding to actor Dominic Purcell.

Cyrus, 56, and Purcell, 54, confirmed their relationship in November 2022, not long after she filed for divorce from Billy Ray following 28 years of marriage.

Last August, the couple tied the knot in a low-key backyard wedding, although Noah and Tish son Braison were notably absent.

While fans have speculated Miley and Billy Ray are currently feuding after she omitted mention of him from her recent Grammy win.

As the 31-year-old accepted Record of the Year for her hit Flowers, she thanked her team, as well as "my mommy, my sister, my love," pointing to them in the crowd.

She ended with: "I don't think I forgot anyone…but I might've forgotten underwear. Bye!"
