Natalie Imbruglia shares video singing with Ed Sheeran at Richard Branson’s luxurious Necker Island

Natalie Imbruglia shared a clip of herself belting out her 90s hit single Torn with Ed Sheeran at Richard Branson’s exclusive Necker Island retreat.

The singer, 48, took to Instagram to share a video of her and Sheeran, 32, rehearsing  their performance for Branson’s son Sam’s birthday party on the island.

Sam, who filmed the moment, was also heard singing the chorus.

Imbruglia captioned her post: "Just home from a magical week on Necker Island… still can’t believe I got to sing Torn with Ed to all our friends!

“Here’s us running through it with Isabella [Calthorpe, Sam’s wife] who I also got to sing with! LOVE YOU GUYS!”

Sheeran reportedly charges a minimum of £500,000 for a private performance, but didn’t pocket a dime on this occasion.

He and Imbruglia, who also shared snaps with Sir Richard at the island’s bar during the bash, were likely to have been flown out to the Virgin Island beach property by billionaire businessman, who hosted the pair.

At the party, Sam, an aspiring musician who performs under the name Waves Rush, belted out his own track, 7 Billion, with his wife, former actress Calthorpe and Imbruglia as backing vocalists.

He captioned his post: ‘I mean!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would ever happen. Playing 7 Billion together with these talented, humble and beautiful humans.

‘Thank you guys for bringing my song to life in such a special way! Memories made for life! I love you all.’

Sam and Sheeran struck up a friendship after the  Shape Of You singer was asked to perform at his sister Holly Branson’s wedding to ship broker Freddie Andrewes on the island in 2011.
