Miller, along with relievers Trent Thornton, Gabe Speier, and Austin Voth, combined to stifle the Reds' offense. Miller allowed only one hit, a solo home run to Elly De La Cruz, over six innings of work. He struck out seven batters and improved his record to 3-1 with an impressive 1.85 ERA.
Seattle's offense was powered by solo home runs from Cal Raleigh, Mitch Garver, and Josh Rojas. Garver's sixth-inning homer was his first with the Mariners and proved to be a key moment in the game.
