Love Island's Millie and Liam romance 'back on' following cosy mini-break nine months after split

Love Island winners of 2021 Millie Court and Liam Reardon are said to have rekindled their romance nine months after splitting, according to new reports.

The ITV reality stars are said to have spent a secret romantic weekend together in the Lake District over the Easter break in the secluded countryside.

Millie, 26, and Liam, 23, reportedly spent the Bank Holiday together as the Mirror reports the pair enjoyed a cosy takeaway on Saturday. Insiders claim the couple have been talking and secretly meeting up while working through the issues that lead to their initial breakup.

It comes following rumours that Millie had been romantically linked with Gogglebox star George Baggs after best pals Millie and Chloe moved in together last year after both their relationships ended.

A TikTok clip sparked speculation, as Millie sang over a song with the lyrics: "We had our first date three weeks ago on Monday, he took me out for dinner, then he asked me back to his place."

In July last year, winning couple Millie and Liam took to social media to announce they had decided to separate after almost a year of dating.

A source close to the pair has reportedly told the MailOnline: “'Millie and Liam have been talking again, but it's early days for them.

“They weren't expecting to get back together after their breakup was so painful for them both, but months have passed, and they still couldn't stop thinking about each other.

“Coming out of Love Island was a whirlwind and now they're just looking to take things slowly and see if they can rebuild their relationship, which may take some time.”

The pair were reportedly spotted picking up pizza at Domino’s in Windermere on Saturday as Liam attempted to keep things on the lowdown with his hood up and Millie sported a pair of big designer sunglasses.

Millie was even brazen enough to post about her “wholesome” Easter weekend of countryside walks and a funny video of her attempting to jump on a makeshift swing – but had conveniently turned the sound off the clip.

Last month, Millie teased a new romance as she took to her Instagram Stories to answer a few questions from her fans when one nosey fan asked during the Q&A session who her new 'beau' was.

Millie shared a picture of her feet as well as a mystery man's as they sat down to watch a film at the cinema. The star wore a pair of grey sweatpants and black and white Nike shoes while the other person wore white trainers.

She simply put an eyes emoji and a burst of cheeky coy laughter next to the snap and didn't reveal any more.

Millie and Liam had enjoyed a whirlwind romance following their stint on the ITV dating show, having moved in together after just a short few months.

But the Love Island winners made the decision to end their romance after less than a year of dating, calling it quits on their romance in July last year.

The TV star moved from his home in Wales to live with Millie in Essex but said that he struggled with his identity.

"My career, bricklaying, was my life and then I’m not doing that, so it’s very unnatural. I didn’t know who I was. It was nothing to do with Millie, she is the perfect girlfriend," Liam said.

Speaking about the split with Millie previously, he admitted that it "hurt" both of them and said he had "gone off track" since winning and wanted to get himself back on good ground.

Rumours quickly circulated that it was Liam's 'cheating ways' which had been the point of blame for their failing relationship, but the couple squashed the rumours last year.

Liam joined the Celebs Go Dating lineup to "take his mind off the break up" last year, but nothing came of his stint on the show with him eventually making his way back to Millie.

During filming for the show, the Welsh native revealed he had “instigated” the end of his relationship with Millie, and told the show's experts that he needed to “love himself” to care for her.

But Liam hinted the pair could get back together, adding “never say never, I feel like in the future we could rekindle," and it appears that's exactly what the couple have managed to do.
