Jerry Seinfeld recently shared some interesting insights about his experience working with Hugh Grant on their upcoming Netflix movie, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story. Seinfeld jokingly mentioned that Grant was a bit of a handful on set, describing him as a 'pain in the ass' and 'horrible' to work with. However, any tension between the two actors quickly dissipated after they shared a memorable dinner and bonded over drinks.

Seinfeld, who not only starred in the film but also wrote and directed it, revealed that Grant wasn't initially considered for a role in the movie. The character Grant portrays is based on Thurl Ravenscroft, the real-life voice of Tony the Tiger. Seinfeld humorously envisioned the character as a frustrated Shakespearean actor forced to play the iconic cereal mascot to pay his bills, a role he believed Grant was perfect for.

Interestingly, it was Grant who expressed interest in being part of the project and even auditioned for the role by sending a video from his phone, holding a glass of wine in his other hand. Seinfeld, impressed by Grant's portrayal, immediately offered him the part without much consideration.

Seinfeld praised Grant's performance in the film, describing him as 'so funny' and expressing his admiration for the actor's talent. Grant, after watching the movie, sent Seinfeld a text expressing his surprise at enjoying the film and praising the performances of all the actors, including Seinfeld himself.

Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, set in 1963, revolves around the rivalry between Kellogg's and Post as they compete to create a revolutionary breakfast item that would later become the beloved Pop-Tart. The movie also features Melissa McCarthy and James Marsden in prominent roles.

Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Friday, May 3, offering viewers a comedic and nostalgic look at the origins of this iconic breakfast treat.
