Israeli Airstrike In Gaza Kills At Least 13 Palestinians

Smoke rises from an airstrike in Gaza

An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza has resulted in a tragic loss of life. The strike, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, targeted a four-storey building belonging to the Karaja family. This building was serving as a shelter for approximately 100 people who had been displaced by the ongoing conflict in the region.

According to reports from Civil Defense in Gaza, at least 13 Palestinians have been confirmed dead as a result of the airstrike. The victims include children, with their bodies being taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Tragically, the death toll is expected to rise as rescue efforts continue at the site of the demolished building.

Witnesses on the ground have described a scene of devastation, with families buried under the rubble and rescue teams working tirelessly to save those trapped. Videos shared on social media show the harrowing aftermath of the strike, highlighting the human cost of the ongoing violence in the region.

This is not the first time that Nuseirat camp has been targeted by Israeli forces in recent months, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. In addition to the casualties at the residential building, the airstrike also caused a fire at a nearby UN-run school, adding to the chaos and destruction in the area.

As the situation continues to unfold, questions have been raised about the circumstances surrounding the airstrike. Both the Israeli military and the UN have been contacted for comment on the incident, as the international community seeks answers and accountability for the loss of innocent lives in Gaza.
