Shooting incident in Kosovo

Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner, along with city officials and law enforcement agencies, held a press conference to provide an update on the tragic incident that occurred the previous day. Chief Finner expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues and the first responders who swiftly took control of the situation. He appealed for prayers for a seven-year-old child who is currently in critical condition, fighting for his life. The chief also mentioned that the 57-year-old male who was shot during the incident has been released from the hospital.

Chief Finner emphasized the importance of unity and support within the community during such challenging times. He mentioned speaking with Pastor Osteen, who was unable to attend the press conference due to his commitment to his congregation and the healing process. The chief urged prayers for the Lakewood Church family and the entire community.

Although Chief Finner mentioned that the investigation was ongoing and they may not be able to provide all the answers at this time, he introduced the various speakers who would share updates and information. These speakers included the mayor, Chief Pena, the FBI special agent in charge, T.A.B.C. Director Kevin Lilly, and the commander of the homicide division.

The press conference was also attended by the director of DPS, the Harris County Sheriff, and the district attorney. Chief Finner acknowledged their presence and appreciated the collaborative efforts of all agencies involved.

Chief Finner reiterated the importance of community support and emphasized the increased visibility of law enforcement in the coming days. He assured the public that behind this visible presence, there were genuine relationships and daily communication efforts with the community. Chief Finner concluded his remarks by highlighting the need for Houstonians to come together and watch out for one another in the face of tragedy.

The press conference aimed to provide vital updates on the ongoing investigation and offer support to the affected families and the wider community. It served as a platform for city officials and law enforcement agencies to communicate important information and express their commitment to maintaining the safety and well-being of the residents of Houston.
