Hope on The Street: Prime Video releases trailer for BTS member J-Hope’s docuseries

Fans of the K-pop boyband BTS have received a first glimpse of dancing whizz J-Hope’s new docuseries Hope on the Street after Prime Video dropped a new trailer.

The docuseries will launch globally on Prime Video on 28 March, two days before the release of an accompanying special album titled Hope on the Street Vol. 1.

The series will feature six tracks from the album, each one linked to the six-part docuseries, with collaborations from bandmate Jung Kook and other artists including record producers Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers. Others featured on the tracks including homegrown artists, Le Sserafim’s Huh Yun-Jin, rapper JINBO, Gaeko and Yoon Mirae.

In Hope on the Street, J-Hope delves into his roots as a dancer. With BTS’s hit Trivia: Just Dance playing in the background, the trailer teases stops at various cities including, Osaka, Paris and New York, where J-Hope along with his former instructor, meets with choreographers and explores different styles of dancing such as popping, locking, house and hip-hop

“My heart is racing. It’s been 10 years, but it feels so new,” he says in the trailer. “I’d like to learn again, not just about dance, but it could be about life. I think it was a new process of learning.”

It opens with J-Hope musing on the impact dancing has had on his life. “I started with dance and that dancing led to many other things. I’m curious about it. What kind of dancing did I do, and what are my roots? What is the future that I’m dreaming of,” he says.

“In the end, I found the answer in dancing and singing. We’ll just keep loving what we’re doing.”

Since April 2023, J-Hope has been on mandatory military service in Korea, which lasts for 18 months, but plans to re-join the rest of the BTS members in 2025 after they have all completed their service.
