Authorities reported that a gang-related shooting occurred in a parking lot in Long Beach, California, on Saturday night, resulting in at least seven victims being wounded. The incident took place around 11:15 p.m. near South Street and Paramount Boulevard, where two men are said to have opened fire on a group of people, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Following the shooting, the suspects quickly fled the scene. Responding officers found multiple victims and provided immediate aid. Some of the injured individuals were transported to a hospital by paramedics, while others drove themselves for medical assistance. All seven victims were identified as adult males, with three sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and four in critical but stable condition.

One witness recounted hearing 15 to 20 rounds being fired during the incident. A worker at a nearby nightclub mentioned that a stray bullet entered the premises, resulting in an unfortunate injury to an individual.

While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have indicated that detectives believe the shooting was gang-related. Chief of Police Wally Hebeish emphasized the department's commitment to apprehending any violent offenders who use firearms to harm the community, stating, 'This police department is dedicated and focused on arresting any violent offender utilizing dangerous firearms to victimize our community.'
