Fern Britton announces her brother is a famous TV star and fans can't believe it

Fern Britton has stunned fans by revealing that her brother is a famous TV star featuring in an Apple TV show. The former This Morning host revealed the news on Twitter, Birmingham Live reports.

"I’m off to bed to catch ep3 of Hijack! The Apple TV drama starring my brother Jasper Britton with some bloke called Idris Elba . Night night x," Fern tweeted. Hazel replied: "Oh my goodness I never knew that… didn’t join the dots …. I’m going to watch that tonight on the recommendation of the morning crew @RadioX Enjoy x."

Paul typed: "Watched it and it's still gripping stuff. I never thought they could stretch a series out of it but it sure does work !" Helen said: "It’s so good, went to watch ep3 earlier and had visitors so had to socialise instead."

"Wondered where Jasper had disappeared to! He’s playing a blinder with that bloke Idris , talent runs through the family xx." Anna posted. Koti said: "Yes we were watching it last night, quite gripping my wife told me when I woke up, the joys of working too many hours."

Martyn said: "Your brother is the guy in the "nice shirt"? It's all getting a bit tense now. Night x." Liza said: "I’m trying to login to Apple TV to watch it and it won’t let me - very frustrating !!! Ooooh famous brother !!!"

"My sister phoned earlier to tell me to watch this, she said it was fantastic. Don’t blame you settling down for the night, the weather is grim, very autumnal x," Amanda agreed. The seven-episode series follows Elba's character, Sam Nelson, who is on a plane from Dubai to London that has been hijacked.

Nelson is a corporate negotiator who tries to use his professional skills to save the passengers on the plane. The first two episodes of Hijack launch on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, June 28 and will be followed by one new episode every Wednesday until August 2.
