Fan who secured tickets to ‘multiple’ Beyonce shows shares little-known Ticketmaster tip

Millions of Beyonce fans have scrambled to get tickets to her Renaissance World Tour this morning, as general tickets went on sale at 10am. Many hopeful fans are still in queues trying to secure their spot at on of the four UK locations, including Cardiff, Sunderland, Edinburgh and London.

Huge demand has seen the Crazy in Love singer add an additional two dates for her shows, both at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - but some have still struggled to get their hands on what’s expected to be the hottest ticket of 2023.

But, one Beyonce fan has shared how she managed to get ‘multiple tickets’ for a number of shows with a Ticketmaster tip that could help out some fans.

The social media user @bigpinkenergy shared a clip to TikTok explaining all of the rules she followed to bag Beyonce tickets ‘not just for one show, but for multiple shows’, which has since racked up a quarter of a million views.

A number of her top tips are those we have previously shared as standard practice for snapping up tickets, including using several devices, and hitting refresh until you’re in the waiting room. But there was one tip we’d never heard of - and it could come in extremely handy for those still hoping to secure a ticket to the hotly anticipated tour.

The fan said: “Step one. Have as many devices as you can. If you have a phone, a laptop, a work phone, a work laptop, your partner, your brother or sister, your mother or father’s laptop - their phones, take as many of them as you can. It doesn't matter if they have fast internet or you open loads of tabs, you want different devices to do this on.

“For today’s Beyonce tickets I had five different devices going including this phone I'm filming on and my really old phone that’s on O2 that I keep just for buying concert tickets. It’s an O2 phone so I get O2 priority.”

Speaking of O2 Priority, the presales are also important, whether you’re trying to log into O2 or Live Nation, or placing all your hopes on general sale, you’ll need to know all of the terms in which to access presale, and have any codes or links ready to use on the day.

Big Pink Energy added: “Prepare all of those devices make sure you’re logged in to Ticketmaster, or Live Nation or O2 Priority so that when you go to check out your tickets or let into the waiting room you aren’t delayed by having to sign in.

“Get the page open and refresh when it’s on the waiting room page every 15 minutes leading up until they go on sale. But once you are in the waiting room do not refresh because the countdown will go off and your devices will be randomly placed into the queue.

“You might have 200,000 people in front of you and some of your devices might have 8,000. That's what happened to me today.”

The user also recommended having an idea of ticket prices in advance, and know how much you are willing to spend to avoid dithering at the checkout. But her final tip was by far the most useful, and could mean fans can get tickets well after they go on sale.

She said: “The final step is just refreshing the page if there’s no tickets left. Keep searching until you get the tickets you want. When you go onto the page it will say there’s none left, there actually are, it's just that they’re in peoples baskets and they haven't checked out yet.

“Not all of the people with tickets in their baskets are going to check those tickets out so that’s why you need to keep refreshing as more become available. My final tip is if you’re going with a friend and you both want standing tickets, search for one ticket at a time, not two.”

Our ticket experts already knew that hitting ‘search again’ for tickets could see you get lucky when they leave another customers basket, but we never thought to search for standing tickets one at a time - but it makes complete sense.

For example, if a group of six friends have added tickets to their basket but one has decided they can’t afford to go, that one single ticket will be released back into general sale. It’s a great way to try and secure tickets for you and your friends.

When tickets became available to buy at 10am this morning, more than half a million fans joined the Ticketmaster queue. The former Destiny’s Child singer is set to place seven dates in the UK across four venues, with tickets priced from £50, into the thousands for Special VIP packages.

The full list of tour dates are here:

  • May 17 – Cardiff – Principality Stadium
