E4 Married At First Sight Australia introduces 'intruder' brides and grooms to series

Two new brides and grooms have joined Married at First Sight Australia as late additions. Evelyn and Rupert and Tayla and Hugo have joined the new cast after bravely walking up the aisle during the episode that aired on Tuesday, March 28.

They were introduced as "intruder" brides and grooms on E4's official Twitter account ahead of the episode airing. In a tweet, the broadcaster shared a picture of the new stars and wrote: "Meet the intruder brides and grooms! #MAFSAU."

During the instalment, Tayla made it very clear she had high standards, saying she was a "control freak" while Hugo promised to be the romantic man she needed. Meanwhile, Evelyn and Rupert's wedding was an awkward watch as a nervous Rupert dropped the rings, sweated throughout the ceremony, and shakily read out his vows.

His bride Evelyn was left less than impressed calling the newlywed photo shoot stiff and admitted she did not feel like there was an immediate spark with Rupert, even criticising his name.

After enjoying a honeymoon together the new couples will join the others living together in an apartment block and attending commitment ceremonies. Elsewhere in the show, Claire dropped the huge bombshell that she had cheated on her husband Jesse with another groom in the show, Adam who is married to Janelle.

A very emotional Claire told fellow bride Sandy: "We kissed... it is so wrong of me, I know... I am such an idiot. I didn't mean to hurt anyone I feel so bad, I've disrespected the whole process. It is only fair that I call myself out, I feel really awful for hurting Janelle and for hurting Jesse...I should have said the truth sooner".

Claire also told Jesse who was shocked to receive the news after he was labelled "paranoid" for having his suspicions about Claire and Adam. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
