Drake Bell Responds To 'Ned's Declassified' Alums' Comments

Drake Bell

Several former cast members of the popular Nickelodeon show 'Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide' engaged in a social media exchange that caught the attention of fans and followers. The banter began when actor Drake Bell responded to comments made by Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee regarding the 'Quiet on Set' Nickelodeon documentary.

Bell, known for his role in 'Drake & Josh,' referred to his former colleagues as 'Declassless' in a tweet, expressing surprise at their remarks. The exchange escalated when Bell highlighted a specific comment made during a TikTok Live session, prompting Werkheiser to backtrack and acknowledge the inappropriateness of their behavior.

Werkheiser attempted to clarify that the on-set environment during their time on 'Ned's Declassified' was not reflective of the allegations raised in the documentary. He expressed shock at Bell's revelations of alleged sexual abuse and emphasized the seriousness of the situation.

The controversy stemmed from Bell's revelations in the 'Quiet on Set' documentary, where he detailed disturbing experiences of sexual abuse by dialogue coach Brian Peck. Bell recounted instances of assault and criticized Peck's actions, despite an apology issued by the coach.

Further complicating matters, former 'Boy Meets World' actors Will Friedle and Rider Strong were mentioned for supporting Peck during legal proceedings in 2004. Peck was later convicted of sexual abuse and faced legal consequences for his actions.

The documentary also raised allegations against producer Dan Schneider, accusing him of inappropriate behavior towards child stars. While some claims could not be verified, the documentary portrayed Schneider in a negative light, labeling him as a 'psychological tormenter.'

In response to the allegations, Schneider released a statement through his representative, asserting that all activities on the shows he managed underwent thorough scrutiny and approval processes by network officials.
