Charles Barkley Lost It on Shaquille O’Neal Over His Victor Wembanyama Comparison

The Inside the NBA crew had a hilarious discussion about Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama after Shaquille O’Neal compared the French wunderkind to Bol Bol.

Shaq was attempting to retort those who say they’ve never seen someone like Wembanyama by bringing up Bol, the 23-year-old whose skill set at 7’2” has long intrigued fans. But given that Bol is entering his fifth season in the NBA and has yet to average more than 9.1 points per game, people took issue with the comparison, particularly Charles Barkley.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!,” Barkley said hilariously.

Shaq then drew the distinction between the two as Wembanyama being more consistent than Bol, to which Barkley yelled out “He has only played three games!”

Here’s the whole hilarious back-and-forth:

Shaq made things better by pointing out the giant coffee mug he brought on set that night. The white mug said “I have four rings. What about you?” which doubles as an excellent dig on Barkley’s championship-less career.

Fans, reveling in the return of the popular show, loved the debate.
