CBB star Lauren Harries unable to walk after coma

Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Harries is unable to walk and is shaking uncontrollably after waking from a coma. Lauren's family has given a new health update from hospital.

Her family wrote: "Lauren was woken after her induced coma, she still has painful seizures which cause her whole body to shake uncontrollably.

"She is unable to walk and her feet are in pain. The only thing keeping her going at the moment is you, her fans and her painting. Doctors are still unable to diagnose what's causing any of this, they are testing different medications to help.

"Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts. She loves you all."

Since she was admitted to hospital, mum Katy has been sharing pictures of Lauren with fans - urging them to pray for her. CBB star Lauren underwent emergency surgery last month after being rushed to hospital with a mystery condition.

Lauren was first admitted to hospital for surgery on April 14. While the cause is still unknown, Lauren said she had nearly died as a result of her illness. "Nearly dying makes you appreciate every moment. So enjoy the sunshine and know that I love you. Light, love and peace," she told fans.

Lauren's mum Katy, who has been keeping fans updated, said medical staff had been stumped by Lauren's illness. On behalf of Lauren she posted: "Please help. Lauren has had a number of blackouts after which the right side of her face drops.

"This is incredibly scary for Lauren and for us. She also has a consistent headache. Drs haven't been able to explain what is causing these."

Lauren found fame as a child antiques expert who appeared on the Antiques Roadshow and Wogan.

She appeared on Channel 5 series Trust Me – I’m A Beauty Therapist and then, in 2013, starred on Celebrity Big Brother on the same channel. She finished third in the competition, with Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby winning the series.
