Police are currently searching for three suspects involved in an anti-Semitic attack at Columbia University. The incident occurred on Saturday when a 22-year-old man carrying an Israeli flag was targeted near the campus.

The victim was walking near Amsterdam Avenue and West 116 Street when an unidentified male approached him and snatched his flag. The victim pursued the perpetrator, who then fled into a crowd where another individual threw a rock at the victim, hitting him in the face.

Subsequently, a third individual seized the flag and set it on fire. The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical assistance.

One of the suspects is described as a male with a light complexion, aged between 20 to 30 years. He was last seen wearing a black and yellow jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers.

This brazen attack has raised concerns about the safety and security of individuals on and around the Columbia University campus. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Incidents of hate and violence have no place in our society, and it is essential for communities to stand together against such acts of intolerance. Columbia University officials have condemned the attack and are working closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of their students and staff.

As the search for the suspects continues, the community is reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Together, we can strive to create a more inclusive and respectful environment for all individuals, free from discrimination and violence.
