Anne Hathaway recently addressed the speculation surrounding whether the upcoming film adaptation of 'The Idea of You' is inspired by the rumored relationship between Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde. Hathaway firmly denied any connection, stating, 'No, just no,' during an interview with Extra.

The film, based on the 2017 novel by Robinne Lee, has sparked comparisons to Styles and Wilde due to their past relationship. However, both the author and now Hathaway have clarified that the story is not centered around Harry Styles fanfiction.

Instead, Hathaway emphasized that the movie explores the theme of recovering from a broken heart. Her character, Solène, portrayed by Hathaway, grapples with the aftermath of her ex-husband's betrayal and the impact it had on her family life. The narrative delves into Solène's journey of self-discovery and healing.

In the film, Solène encounters a young musician, Hayes, played by Nicholas Galitzine, who unexpectedly becomes a significant presence in her life. Hathaway highlighted Solène's complex background as a single mother who became pregnant at a young age and prioritized her family and career.

During the SXSW Film & TV festival, Hathaway shared her enthusiasm for portraying Solène, expressing her desire to challenge stereotypes and explore diverse roles beyond traditional narratives. She emphasized the importance of embracing new experiences and rejecting limitations based on age or previous accolades.

'The Idea of You' is set to premiere on May 2 on Amazon Prime, offering audiences a poignant exploration of love, loss, and personal growth.
