The German Football League (DFL) have announced the top two divisions of German football will return on May 16.
The league opted not to hold a Friday night game next weekend as was originally planned but the Bundesliga will resume on the Saturday with five traditional 3:30pm kick-offs - 2:30pm in the UK.
Germany will be the first country in Europe to restart their top flight despite a slate of coronavirus tests across the top two leagues that returned 10 positive results.
But the DFL insisted that the grand reopening of football will be safe if players follow strict rules and undergo regular testing.
Champions Bayern Munich will face Union Berlin in the capital on the Sunday.
Bayern sit four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga as they attempt to win a ninth German title in a row.
But the highlight of next weekend is the Saturday afternoon Revierderby between second-placed Borussia Dortmund and Schalke.
The typically excellent atmosphere of the rivalry between the Ruhr region clubs will be missed as all games are set to take place behind closed doors but it's set to be a grand reopening of European football nonetheless.
Rangers ' Europa League opponents Bayer Leverkusen will face Werder Bremen on the Monday night.
The schedule for the full first weekend of the restarted Bundesliga, including their UK kick-off times, are as follows:
Saturday 16 May
Borussia Dortmund v Schalke 04 (2:30pm)
RB Leipzig v SC Freiburg (2:30pm)
Hoffenheim v Hertha Berlin (2:30pm)
