The Watchlist: what our US team is watching right now

Colin Bridgerton - season 3 for the Watchlist .

Between all the streaming services, network TV shows and movies available to watch, there is an almost endless amount of things to choose from. Let What to Watch help with The Watchlist.

The Watchlist is our selection of TV shows and movies that we love and believe you will too — everything on the list is available to stream right now.

Many of them may be new shows we can't get enough of, though we'll also include some hidden gems that we perhaps are discovering for the first time or new/classic movies that have just become available to watch at home.

We'll be updating our picks weekly, so be sure to stay up to date on what we are into. But for right now, here are the TV shows and movies on our Watchlist that we are loving right now.

Bridgerton season 3 (Netflix)

I never knew what Bridgerton was until it landed on Netflix. I'd never read the books, and though I enjoy a good romance novel I'd never been a fan of regency stories. Then Bridgerton came along and hooked me. I can't help watching it. So when Bridgerton season 3 dropped I was eager to see how Penelope and Colin finally came together. I think that's my favorite part of this particular season, seeing these two friends figure out that their attraction was stronger than they realized. And let's not forget the incredible sets, beautiful music and gorgeous clothing. Bridgerton is a feast for the eyes, and I loved every minute of it. — Sarabeth Pollock

Dune: Part Two (Max)

The biggest movie of the year is now easier than ever to watch, as long as you have a Max subscription. Yes, Dune: Part Two is finally available for streaming, so there really is no more excuse to watching the epic sci-fi story, which is one of WTW's best-reviewed movies of the year. While we would definitely recommend seeing Paul Atreides' (Timothee Chalamet) journey on the biggest screen possible (it is still playing in select movie theaters), Dune: Part Two should be enjoyed on any screen because of the level of craftmanship and sheer entertainment of the story. — Michael Balderston

Station 19 (ABC/Hulu)

It's sad to know that Station 19 season 7 is the show's final run. I've grown attached to the firefighters who leave it all on the line in this Shonda Rhimes world. In the season premiere, as Jack Gibson's (Grey Damon) life hangs in the balance it was hard to hang on the edge of your seat thinking Rhimes is going to kill a fan-favorite character like she's known to do on Grey's Anatomy. Thankfully, Gibson survives but he's still looking at a major shift moving forward (I at least won't spoil that here). — Terrell Smith

The Idea of You (Prime Video)

I wasn't planning on watching The Idea of You until I read that the director changed the book's ending. The reasoning intrigued me: the book had a "sad" ending and the director wanted to end on an optimistic note. To be honest, I hate sad movies and prefer avoiding anything with less than a happy ending. Some people love crying over missed connections and never-to-be romances. I'm not one of them. I need the happy ending. So when I found out that The Idea of You has an arguably better ending than the book, I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. It was a perfect romantic comedy with a strong story, lots of ideas that make you think and a great cast of characters. It's definitely worth a watch if you're in the mood for a good love story that won't leave you in tears at the end. — Sarabeth Pollock

Bodkin (Netflix)

Will Forte, Sibohan Cullen and Robyn Cara in Bodkin (Image credit: Netflix)

While I don't think it is going to threaten my love for my favorite group of fictional true-crime podcasters — the Only Murders in the Building trio — Bodkin is a fun crime dramedy. Will Forte stars as an American podcaster teamed with a reluctant investigative journalist, played by Siobhán Cullen, as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of three people from a festival 25 years ago. Who doesn't look a fun mystery? Well Bodkin offers that and a beautiful local in the Irish countryside. — Michael Balderston

Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal (Netflix)

I love a good documentary and the Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal documentary on Netflix has everything: compelling story, plot twists and gripping firsthand accounts from people who worked for the company and people who were impacted by the hacking incident. What intrigued me most was how the dating site for people who wanted to have an affair developed in the early 2000s. That's what really stood out. These guys were going on national television — as they note, they talked with anyone and everyone — and explained with straight faces why a site dedicated to cheating on spouses was a good thing. It's absolutely bonkers, but what's even more amazing is that it worked. The site had millions of users, many of whom had their lives torn apart when the site was hacked and user names were released. It's a jaw-dropping story that's absolutely worth watching. — Sarabeth Pollock

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (digital on-demand)

Henry Cavill in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Image credit: Lionsgate)

Guy Ritchie's World War Two, star-studded action movie is one of my favorite movies of the year so far. If you missed The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in theaters, you can now watch it at home. The movie is based on the true story about a group of ragtag British soldiers that were given an unsanctioned mission by Winston Churchill to cripple the Nazi's Uboats from patrolling the Atlantic. Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, Eiza Gonzalez and more star in a movie that may be a bit more reserved from Ritchie, but one that is not lacking in style or entertainment. — Michael Balderston

Elsbeth (CBS/Paramount Plus)

Carrie Preston in Elsbeth (Image credit: Elizabeth Fisher/CBS)

The first thing you'll notice about Elsbeth is it's not a mystery series. It starts with the murder and it doesn't hold back on the details. The real story is about Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) trying to figure out what happened. Elsbeth, a respected lawyer, is working as a consultant for the NYPD following a series of wrongful arrests. While they don't want her around, they quickly come to appreciate her insight on a high profile murder case. We've only seen one episode so far (the show returns in early April after March Madness ends) but the series premiere is so good it's worth watching over and over again. The series premiere also features a True Blood reunion as Stephen Moyer guest stars. — Sarabeth Pollock

Hacks season 3 (Max)

Jean Smart and Mark Indelicato in Hacks (Image credit: Hilary Bronwyn Gayle/Max)

Hacks is back, and I couldn't be happier. The comedy series is one of the best-written shows on TV with an all-time performance from Jean Smart as the one-of-a-kind stand-up legend Deborah Vance and Hannah Einbinder as her know trusted collaborator and friend Ava. Hacks season 3 picks up a year after Deborah's career reviving stand-up special and her letting Ava go so she can grow on her own, but these two will always have a special bond that brings them back together, and hilarity undoubtedly ensues. — Michael Balderston

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard (Bravo/Peacock)

Well, the significant others have finally arrived on Summer House: Martha's Vineyard season 2, and just as I anticipated, things got even spicier in the vacation home. Between Bria and Simon arguing about his choice of attire for Nick’s party and Amir’s girlfriend Natalie ruffling a few feathers (at least on the viewers’ side of the equation), the latest episode was full of drama. I have to wonder if Simon will really leave after Bria’s latest dressing down. — Terrell Smith

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After (TLC/Max)

I've been binging 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After season 8 the past week and can't stop watching it. I haven't watched the series closely, so there are a few couples I'm familiar with and lots of new faces. The drama continues to unfold for Gino and Jasmine and I'm eager to catch up so I can follow along as new episodes air in the future. It's interesting to watch because I know from social media that some of the couples are no longer together and this is the season when things started to fall apart. — Sarabeth Pollock

9-1-1 (ABC/Hulu)

Peter Krause in 9-1-1 (Image credit: Jack Zeman/ FOX)

The 9-1-1 season 7 premiere delivered on all fronts. After leaving Fox for ABC, fans wondered whether the first responder procedural would be able to live up to expectations. It did. It was the little things that I appreciated most, including new camera angles, changes in how the story was told and lots of little tongue-in-cheek Easter eggs designed to give longtime fans something to smile about. There's no question in my mind that 9-1-1 will thrive in its new home on ABC, and now that the first installment of the three-part season premiere has aired I'm looking forward to seeing what's coming next. — Sarabeth Pollock
