Authorities in Perth, Australia, reported a tragic incident involving a 16-year-old boy who was shot dead by police after stabbing a man in a parking lot in suburban Willetton. The incident took place on Saturday night outside a hardware store.

According to Western Australian Premier, the teenager attacked the man and then charged at police officers, leading to the fatal shooting. It was mentioned that there were signs indicating that the teenager had been radicalized through online channels. However, officials assured the public that the individual appeared to have acted alone in this incident.

Following a recent counterterrorism investigation in Sydney, where a 16-year-old boy stabbed an Assyrian Orthodox bishop and priest in a church, authorities have been on high alert. The boy involved in the Sydney incident has been charged with committing a terrorist act, along with six other individuals who are facing various charges related to planning or conspiring to engage in terrorist activities.

Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, stated that he had been briefed on the Perth stabbing by law enforcement officials and emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community based on available information. Albanese reiterated that Australia is a nation that values peace and condemns violent extremism.

Reports indicate that police received an emergency call from a teenager indicating his intention to commit acts of violence. Upon arrival at the scene, a man was found with stab wounds to his back. The man's current condition has not been disclosed at this time.
