Smyths Toys shoppers can get free LEGO this Saturday in special giveaway event

Any families with little LEGO fans at home can get their hands on a freebie this weekend that is sure to go down a treat.

Smyths Toys Superstores are hosting The Big LEGO Weekender across all stores, where there will be in-store demonstrations for LEGO lovers - and free LEGO giveaways while stocks last. From 9am on Saturday, April 29, kids can get one mini LEGO gift each if they visit their local Smyths store with no other purchase necessary.

Smyths has several stores in the North East, including at the Metrocentre and Team Valley in Gateshead, near Silverlink Shopping Park in Wallsend, Riverside Retail Park in Sunderland, and the Arnison Shopping Park in Durham. You can find your nearest branch on the Smyths website.

Shoppers will be able to pick one of seven different mini LEGO sets, with themes including NINJAGO, Creator, City, Speed Champions and LEGO Super Mario, according to Brick Fanatics. Smyths has also slashed prices on several LEGO sets online, including Harry Potter, Frozen and Moana-themed sets with some exclusive to the store - you can shop the selection of special offers here.

Smyths are also hosting a series of Autism Friendly shopping hours over the summer to make the experience of visiting the store more comfortable and enjoyable for autistic customers. All UK stores will be taking part from 9am till 10am on Wednesday May 24, Wednesday June 21, and Wednesday July 19.
