Michelin Star Leeds restaurant Man Behind the Curtain launches 'more affordable' menu

Man Behind The Curtain has launched a new and more affordable menu.

The Michelin Star restaurant, based in Vicar Lane, is best known for taking diners on a culinary experience through 14 courses. The spot in Vicar Lane has received rave reviews for its tasting menu by chef Michael O'Hare. The experience has divided opinion, with it's unusual dishes named Sex Wax, Dali to Delhi, and Macarons 'Damien Hirst', but continues to be popular.

However, it will set you back a whopping £190 per person. Now, owner Michael O'Hare has made the experience more accessible and affordable for everyone. It comes as many are struggling with the ongoing cost of living crisis and the backlash of Covid-19. Michael has now launched 'Menu Rapide' which will set customers back £40 for four courses, or £60 for six courses.

  • Salt Aged Hamachi - native lobster and nam jim bisque
  • Crispy Duck - Yorkshire rhubarb, hoi sin, and sticky rice
  • Emancipation - Ink and vinegar cod loin, dashi, potato
  • Valrhona chocolate - Hazenut caramel, birch smoked ice cream
