Kinahan gang's luxury homes around the world revealed - including lavish pads in Dubai and Spain

Three companies “linked” to the Kinahan gang have been targeted by the US Treasury.

The companies are Nero Drinks, an alcoholic drinks company, Hoopoe Sports, a sports management company, and Ducashew, a business consultancy.

The companies were targeted by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), a division on the US Department of the Treasury. The first company is registered in the UK, while the second two companies are registered in the UAE.

The sanctions mean that all bank accounts and assets of the Kinahan gang in the US have been frozen – it’s understood they have a substantial US property portfolio.

It will also make it very hard for them to do business anywhere else as a red flag will pop up beside any other businesses that engage with them – putting them in danger of being put on the list too, which will have a devastating cooling effect.

All credit cards of the companies will be blocked and the Kinahan associates won’t be available to fly on American airlines either.

OFAC says that Nero Drinks Company Limited (Nero Drinks) is a UK-based alcoholic beverage company.

They say it is owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by John Morrissey who serves as Nero Drinks’ brand ambassador, and is “heavily invested” in Nero.

OFAC say he “has given a significant portion of the business to Daniel Kinahan to compensate for loads of drugs seized by law enforcement”.

Morrissey’s wife is the main shareholder in Nero, however, OFAC believes she is being used as a frontperson for his interests.

Hoopoe Sports LLC (Hoopoe Sports) is a UAE-based sports management and advisory company. The Kinahan frontman here is Ian Dixon.

Dixon is a 49% shareholder, and he also receives 80% of Hoopoe Sports’ profits.

He is the sole manager of Hoopoe Sports and has full executive power over the company.

Ducashew General Trading LLC is a UAE-based business management consulting company. Ducashew is Daniel Kinahan’s company.

Kinahan runs Ducashew through various individuals and is involved in its financial and business management.

Meanwhile the location of luxury homes belonging to the most senior members of the Kinahan cartel have been laid bare by US authorities.

“Dapper Don” Christy Kinahan, 65, is living at an unspecified address in Dubai, authorities say – but also has several other homes in Spain in Barcelona and Marbella.

Mob boss Daniel Kinahan is living in 14 Palm Jumeirah on the coast of the Middle-Eastern city, where he has been holed up since 2016.

His scenic pad, where many wealthy people live, is located in an archipelago of artificial islands that were created using land reclamation which extends into the Persian Gulf. Like his father, he also has several Spanish properties connected to him.

His brother Christy Jnr is living in Dubai’s huge Iris Blue Building in the centre of the city.

Massive one-bedroom apartments inside the skyscraper will set you back at least €1million, but some are for sale for far higher.

Christy Jnr is also connected to an address in Marbella in Spain’s Costa del Sol.

He also has another property in the Los Flamingos Golf Resort in Marbella. The addresses of the cartel’s other top-tier were also laid out by the US authorities – with Bernard Clancy, named as a “lieutenant” in the gang, having an address in Estepona, Spain.

Ian Dixon, who was described as a senior money man for the cartel, has an address at Arabian Ranches in Dubai – close to mob boss Kinahan.

And John Morrissey, an enforcer for the gang, is attached to an address at Dinamarca in Malaga in Spain’s Costa del Sol.
