Hollyoaks' Lucy-Jo Hudson 'proud' as she shows daughter from Coronation Street co-star relationship is following in parent's footsteps

Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson has shared her pride as her daughter made her stage debut. The actress shared with her social media followers how nine-year-old Sienna-Rae is following in her and her dad's acting footsteps as she performed in a show put together by her stepdad Lewis Devine's theatre company.

Lucy-Jo, who plays Donna-Marie Quinn in the Channel 4 soap, posted a string of images on Instagram over the weekend from The Devine Theatre Company's latest event at St Helen's Theatre Royal. Sienna landed the lead role in their version of the hit musical film, Grease, playing Sandy.

She was seen on stage complete with a blonde wig while her younger brother also performed in the big show. "Wow what a night," Lucy-Jo typed on Instagram. Last night I was bursting with pride watching both my babies on stage @sthelenstheatreroyal.

"Sienna playing her 1st lead role as “Sandy” in Grease, and Carter being on his “daddy’s stage” (as he calls it) for the very first time at the age of 3!!! I wasn’t sure if Carter would do it but he absolutely proved me wrong…. He loved being on stage and he was amazing…. Remembering all his little moves and singing along….

"He was just so blumming cute!!! And my big girl Sienna… who used to be so shy before starting classes @devinetc13. Thankyou @lewis_devine1987 @terrianningham and @sallycharles76 for putting so much time and energy into my girl… you have built her confidence and brought her out of her shell, and most of all, helped her believe in herself.

"Every year she just gets stronger and stronger. She just loves it. She’s got such a gorgeous group of friends there too. The whole school is so strong and full of talent! And I’m so proud of my man and the girls for getting the kids to such a high standard!!! What a show!!! I wish we could do it all over again."

She then added: "Proud is an understatement," before her husband Lewis quickly responded to the post. "Wow. I am so proud right now of all the pupils they were just amazing but a special shout out to our Carter & sienna they were unbelievable on that stage last night a memory that will last a lifetime," he said before adding: "All there hard work paid off love them."

Corrie's Alan Halsall with his daughter and girlfriend Tisha Merry (Alan Halsall Instagram)

Lucy-Jo shares daughter Sienna with Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap. Lucy-Jo, who previously admitted with co-parenting with an ex can be 'challenging', met Alan on the set of Corrie - in which Lucy-Jo played Katy Harris - all the way back in 2002

While Alan is famed for having played mechanic Tyrone for the best part of two decades, it has been 20 years since Lucy-Jo played troubled teenager Katy in Weatherfield. Her dramatic time on the cobbles included her forbidden relationship with older man Martin Platt, which led to her murdering her own dad Tommy with a wrench, her diabetic diagnosis and in her departing storyline she took her own life.

After seven years of marriage, having tied the knot in 2009, the former couple announced that they had separated back in 2016 - saying at the time they would remain close friends. However, on that occasion, they reconciled a month later before splitting again in 2018.

Lucy went on to find love with Lewis, whom she first met when they appeared together in pantomime in 2017, and the couple now share a son together while Alan has been in a relationship with former Corrie star Tisha Merry for a number of years.
