West of Scotland Football League side Johnstone Burgh have pulled off one of the biggest ever signings at their level after announcing the arrival of ex-West Brom and Rangers midfielder Graham Dorrans.
The experienced 35-year-old came through the ranks at Livingston before enjoying a successful career in England, spending nearly ten years with the Baggies and Norwich when both were in the English Premier League.
He returned north of the border to join Rangers in 2017, before spells at Dundee and Dunfermline sandwiched a stint in Australia with Western Sydney Wanderers.
Dorrans also picked up 12 caps for Scotland across six years, with his debut coming in a friendly against Japan back in October, 2009.
His signing is a major boost to Burgh, with the Keanie Park club still having a slim chance of picking up a promotion spot in the WoSFL First Division.
Dorrans will initially join on a one-year deal that starts this summer, with Burgh boss Jamie McKim delighted to have picked up the influential midfielder in a deal he feels is one of the most significant in junior football history.
McKim told Renfrewshire Live Sport: "We're absolutely buzzing to get this deal over the line.
"It's definitely the biggest signing we as a club have ever made. It's certainly one of the biggest ever signings at our level too.
"I first met him on a UEFA B licence course a few years ago, but I never imagined I'd be in a position to eventually sign him for Johnstone Burgh.
"For me it's really important people understand this was a football decision for both us and Graham.
"This isn't just about a name for us or for him to wind down his career. He's keen to come here because he wants to keep playing and keep winning.
"He's a winner. A Scotland international who has scored goals in the English Premier League and Scottish Premiership.
"I'm sure he's going to have a huge impact. His intensity and work ethic in training will rub off on the squad and I know he'll have a positive impact on our young players."
