Clarksons Offshore bolsters Scottish presence with new Edinburgh office

Clarkson Offshore & Renewables has opened its first Edinburgh office, to serve as a hub catering to the renewables and offshore construction industry in Scotland.

It will offer a range of services, including offshore construction consultancy, vessel intelligence, new building, project ship broking, finance and management support.

The Edinburgh team will be led by transport and installation manager Olivier Candeel.

“I am excited to be on the doorstep of many existing and new clients enabling me to lead and expand our Edinburgh team,” he stated. “With the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions and the growing global demand for renewables, we recognise the immense potential held by the Scottish market.

“By establishing a strong presence in Edinburgh, we are well positioned to support the development of the region's rich renewable resources and contribute to the country's ambitious green energy targets.”

Paul Love, managing director of Clarksons Offshore & Renewables, added: “Scotland has emerged as a global leader in renewable energy and our goal is to provide comprehensive support to both existing and upcoming renewable projects, facilitating the transition to a greener future.

“As the renewable energy sector continues to gain momentum, opening our new office in Edinburgh signals our strong commitment to supporting the industry's growth, on both a local and global scale.”

Clarksons has cross-sector experience, spanning more than 50 years in offshore energy and 20 years pioneering the offshore wind industry.

The division has nine offshore wind-focused teams, based out of Aarhus, Aberdeen, Edinburgh Hamburg, Houston, London, Shanghai, Singapore and Oslo, with resource bases available in New York, Seoul and Tokyo.
