Chelsea transfer news: Paulo Dybala answers Thiago Silva question amid Victor Osimhen update

Your morning Chelsea transfer round-up on Tuesday, July 11.

Dybala response

Paulo Dybala has responded to speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea this summer. The 29-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to further bolster his attacking options.

After an appearance at the Grand Prix sparked speculation of a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, Dybala has insisted that his visit to the United Kingdom was for simply pleasure rather than business. Speaking to LAROMA24, as quoted by the Mirror, the Roma star said: "I’m motivated for pre-season, which we’re starting tomorrow [Monday]. My future? I’m happy at Roma. I’m staying here."

Mourinho has also denied any knowledge of timeline which sees Dybala leave the Italian giants. Speaking to reporters after arriving at Rome airport on Saturday, the former Chelsea and Tottenham manager said: "I don’t know anything about his contract. But obviously I talk to Paulo like I do with all of my players."

Osimhen message

Aurelio de Laurentiis has insisted that Victor Osimhen will not leave Napoli unless the Italian outfit receives an 'obscene offer'. The 24-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino looks to further bolster his attacking options this summer.

He featured 32 times in a title-winning Serie A campaign last season, netting 26 times. While Napoli are, understandably, desperate to hold onto the Nigeria international, football.london understands that the Blues have not been put off by their stubborn stance.

"We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that's for sure," said de Laurentiis. "If a more than obscene offer arrives, we will move on and find another top talent, just like we did with [Khvicha] Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen."

James to Real Madrid?

Reece James' father, Nigel, has admitted that he was 'gobsmacked' after Real Madrid registered interest in his son. The 23-year-old defender was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu following a meteoric rise to superstardom under Thomas Tuchel.

Speaking on The Beautiful Game podcast, James' father revealed his stance on Real Madrid's interest and his first thoughts on a potential move to the Spanish capital. He said: "I was just gobsmacked.

"I don't read things anymore, because yeah, until someone rings my phone, or tells the people I work with what the deal is then you take something seriously but Reece is a top player, so I'm sure most clubs would want to sign him but right now I don't see anything changing."
