AC/DC 2024 world tour: dates, venues, and how to get tickets

AC/DC have just announced a huge UK and European stadium tour for summer 2024.

The rock legends will be taking their latest album Power Up on the road, performing 21 dates in 10 countries. It will be the Australian band’s first tour in Europe for eight years.

Their line-up will be vocalist Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, Matt Laug on drums, and Chris Chaney on bass. Chaney will be carrying “the torch for Cliff” Williams, who retired from performing in 2016.

Who are AC/DC?

The band was formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The original line-up also included vocalist Dave Evans, bassist Larry Van Kriedt, and drummer Colin Burgess. However, this line-up changed shortly after their formation, with Bon Scott joining as the lead vocalist and Phil Rudd replacing Colin Burgess on drums.

AC/DC rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their powerful, riff-driven rock anthems. Their music is characterised by Angus Young's electrifying guitar solos, Bon Scott's gritty vocals (later replaced by Brian Johnson after Scott's death in 1980), and their raw, no-nonsense approach to rock 'n' roll.

Some of AC/DC's most famous albums include Highway to Hell (1979), Back in Black (1980), Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976), and The Razors Edge (1990). The band have sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide.
