A Ferrari in the living room! Former Sugababe Heidi Range's luxurious Fulham home for sale for £5.3m

The Fulham home of former Sugababe Heidi Range is for sale for £5.3 million with Savills.

Range and her husband, the property developer Alex Partakis, bought the building, an Edwardian laundry factory, in 2015, and converted it into a luxurious family home over the next two years.

“When we bought it, it was just an empty warehouse,” says Range in Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes, the ITV programme on which her home was recently featured. “It was just three empty floors: no rooms, no water, no stairs. A blank canvas, I guess.”

Range says that when Partakis suggested buying the laundry —which still proudly bears its name, Loud & Western Ltd, on the façade— she was initially reluctant.

“My husband had more of the vision. When we came in here, I told him I didn’t like it,” she says. It was only after Partakis had shown her plans and explained some of the building’s potential that she began to warm to the idea. “Then I loved it.”

Unsurprisingly, Range and Partakis’ home is a long way from an empty warehouse today. Covering 4,124 sq ft over three floors, it is, as Savills agent Tom Reeves puts it, “unlike any property I have seen in Fulham before.”

The first floor is occupied by a high-ceilinged, open plan reception, kitchen and dining room. This, Range explains on the ITV programme, has been divided into different “zones”, with some of the ceilings even dropped, because they were so high.

Pictures of the property show a custom-made dinner table, made from a reclaimed wooden door, and a chandelier so large, Range explains, that it wouldn’t fit through their doors when it was delivered.

There are bi-folding doors leading out onto a garden, a triangular Roundhouse kitchen island, a feature fireplace – and Range’s 2003 Brit award displayed on the bookcase. But most striking of all is Partakis’ red 1972 Ferrari Dino which sits on display underneath. It is parked in an internal garage with glass doors, like a museum installation. “That clearly wasn’t my idea,” says Range.

The house has five bedrooms, with four on the floor above. The master suite has two separate dressing rooms —Range’s is nicknamed “the Monster”— and a black and white marble ensuite. “It’s my little bit of the Savoy hotel,” says Range. “We always used to go to the Savoy on our anniversary. It’s all Art Deco, and it’s all black and white.”

Above, on the top floor, the fifth bedroom is currently used as a home office and media room, with a large retractable cinema screen. There is also a large, 740 sq ft roof terrace, with views towards the city. “It reminds me of Mary Poppins, because you can see all the chimneys,” says Range.

Range joined the Sugababes in 2001, replacing Siobhán Donaghy. She sang on the band’s biggest hits, including Freak Like Me, Round Round, Push the Button and About You Now, which all reached UK number-one.

In 2021, after an almost decade-long hiatus, Sugababes reformed with its three original members, Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. They released a new single, When The Rain Comes, in 2023, with a new album expected to follow this year.

Now, after six years in their house, Range and Partakis are now looking to move to the Surrey countryside to raise their two daughters. “We built it together, we put our heart and souls into it,” Range says on the ITV programme. “It’s where our family’s happy.”
